details: my first "real" camera. i got it for an intro photography class and it's served me well ever since. it's a fully manual camera, so aside from the built in light meter, i'm pretty much on my own when it comes to zooming and focusing and whatnot. i see this as a good thing -- it forced me to learn a lot of things about shooting that i normally would have probably been too lazy to learn on my own. now that i know all of that stuff, it's sort of a pain to do all the manual stuff myself, but then again, if i want to take cadid shots, i'll just use my digital camera.
