DIANA

format: 120 film

acquired: december, 2002

details: the Diana is a lot like the Holga in that it's a cheap, plastic camera designed for 120 film. unlike the Holga, it's no longer made (and hasn't been for some time), so the only place you can find one is in a thrift store or on Ebay. my girlfriend found this particular one for me and gave it to me as a Christmas present. because they're almost always acquired second-hand and have endured varying degrees of use and abuse, every Diana is unique. mine has a bit of a problem with focusing, which makes it create these really beautiful blurry, surreal images. most people would consider it "broken", but frankly i'd rather have this one than a "perfect" Diana.
